"Send To" in windows explorer bypasses Velodoc Outlook add-in

Hi

We tried a different work flow, click on a document, right mosue click and select send to mail.  If the file is larger than our velodoc threshold (2 mb) it should be added to a package.  But in our environment it is not picked up as too large and added to the package.  The email is missing the package tool bar all together.

This is with Outlook 2003

cheers

Great feedback! We have reproduced the issue which seems to be related to the way Microsoft Outlook loads COM add-ins.

After further enquiries, this is by Microsoft's design. See:
Outlook add-ins do not receive Outlook events when a mail is started by using the "Send To" contextual menu option in Windows Explorer, Word and other applications.

Microsoft suggests two workarounds for this issue:
In both cases, I am very reluctant to include this in the Velodoc Outlook Add-In because it I do not think we should modify the way Windows is installed and configured. What is your opinion?
